Plans are well advanced for the forthcoming National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain Easter Course, which will take place at Taunton School from Saturday 3rd April to Saturday 10th April.
Soloist
The conductor this year is Dr. Nicholas Childs whilst the guest soloist is Cory euphonium star David Childs, who recently performed to rave reviews at New York's Carnegie Hall.

Tuition
Artistic Director Bramwell Tovey will be in attendance at Taunton for part of the week and the students will receive top tuition from course tutors, Richard Marshall, John Berryman, Lesley Howie, Dr. Robert Childs, John Barber, Philip Goodwin and Simone Rebello.
The music which will be studied and prepared for the course and concert will incude 'Rhapsody in Brass', the Karl Jenkins 'Euphonium Concerto', 'Vienna Nights', 'Ein Fest Berg', 'Stomp' 'Brillante', 'An Age of Kings', 'Goldcrest' and 'A Breathless Alleluia'.
Concerts
The end of course concerts take place at The Octogan, Yeovil on Friday 9th April and the Town Hall, Cheltenham on Saturday 10th April. Both concerts start at 7.30pm.
