The list of bands who will challenge for National honours in the autumn is now complete following the last round of 2010 Regional contest on the weekend.
Following three weekends that have seen around 15,000 musicians compete for bands from as far afield as Scotland down to the West Country, the full list of challengers is now known.
Championship Section
The Championship Section in London on Saturday 9th October will see defending champion Black Dyke aiming to become the first band to do the hat-trick since Desford between 1987-89.
Dyke will be defending their title against perhaps the strongest line up for many years, including the current European Champion Cory and the reigning Brass in Concert champion, Foden's.
Brighouse & Rastrick will appear for the first time since 2007 but London will again be missing Grimethorpe Colliery for the second year running.
One again the Lower Section Finals will take place at the International Conference Centre in Harrogate.
First Section
The First Section on the afternoon of Saturday 25th September see's a host of strong competitors all vying for glory after making it through the tough test of 'A Moorside Suite'.

First champion
Meanwhile, the first National Champion to be declared will come from the Second Section on Saturday morning, whilst the Fourth Section on Sunday morning will see a return to the days of old with the biggest number of challengers since 1992, as 21 bands battle for glory.
Test pieces
The test pieces will be announced later in the year by the Music Panel in conjunction with Kapitol Promotions.
