The death has been reported to 4BR of Ron Pryce, the former secretary of Cory Band, who passed away on Thursday 11th March.

Familiar face

Ron was a familiar face in the South Wales banding scene for over fifty years, and was remembered as the man who received the National Trophy on behalf of the band when it completed its historic Albert Hall hat trick between 1982 and 1984.

Best friend

Ron was the life long friend of John Trotman (they were each other's best man at their weddings) and was Cory Secretary from 1976 to 2000, putting in as much effort and dedication into the band as any playing member.

He was a great family man, and will be sadly missed by his wife Elisabeth (Bet), daughter Pauline, son David and grand-daughter Clare.

Funeral

Great loss
