Results: Fivemiletown Entertainment Contest

1st Old Boys provide the prizewinning entertainment at Fivemiletown.

1st Old Boys Band were crowned Fivemiletown Entertainment champions at the BBL contest on the 20th February.

Results:
Music Adjudicator: Stan Lippeatt
Entertainments Adjudicator: Ivor Stevenson

Championship Section:
1. 1st Old Boys Band — 141pts
2. Laganvale Band — 138pts*
3. Murley Band — 138pts
4. Strabane Band — 134pts

*Laganvale take 2nd place with higher music points
Best March: 1st Old Boys — 'Blazeaway'
Best Soloist: Clive McBride (trombone) — Laganvale


Second Section:
1. Templemore — 133pts
2. Downshire Brass — 131pts*
3. Ballyduff Silver — 131pts
4. 3rd Carrickfergus Band — 131pts
5. Roughan Silver — 129pts

*Downshire take 2nd place with higher music points
Best March: Downshire Brass — New Colonial
Best Solo: Linley Hamilton (Templemore)

Third Section:
1. Wellington Silver — 126pts

2= CWA — 125pts

September 12 • We are looking for a repiano cornet player to help complete the team.. We are a second section band and rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, performing a variety of concerts all year round.
