Jim Hayes, the principal cornet of the Co-operative Funeralcare Band is looking for some solo help.

Recording help

Jim will be recording his debut solo CD in October and wants to feature as many new solo works for cornet as possible.

Jim told 4BR: "I really want the CD to be original, inventive and to feature works from a variety of composers. I'd like to showcase new ideas, innovative thinking and inventive compositions. There are so many talented young composers out there, so if they are willing to write something for me I would be thrilled."

Blue Mars

Alan Morrison has already contributed three new arrangements and the release will feature James McFadyen's 'Blue Mars', an original work commissioned by Jim which was featured on 'Listen to the Band' last year.
