Tuba star Les Neish was recently the guest of South Ayrshire Council Instrumental Music Service, leading a workshop with several brass pupils from across the area.

Les led various activities, from a warm-up and performance class to conducting a band practice with all the pupils present at the workshop and of course a short solo recital.

Fantastic day

Les told 4BR: "It really was a fantastic day! The youngsters joined in so well and it really was a great, fun day of music making! I always enjoy my time in Scotland and there are so many talented young brass players in the Ayrshire area."
