Masters announce line up of bands

Masters attracts large field of international entrants to new venue — but not the defending champion.

Richard Franklin and Philip Biggs have announced the line-up of bands for the 2010 All England Masters International Championship, which takes place on Sunday 30th May at the Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering.

Attracted

Although reigning champion Foden’s will not be defending their title this year, interest will surely surround the news that the competition has attracted 8 times Norwegian champion Stavanger as well as former multiple Danish champion Lyngby Taarbaek.

Welcome return

There is a welcome return for Aeolus Brass from France who came third in 2008, whilst Brass Band Schoonhoven make the trip over the English Cahnnel from the Netherlands and Metropole Brass band returns again from Belgium.

November 23 • Bb Cornet, Euphonium, Eb Bass and Percussion required to complete the line-up.. Under the Direction of Duncan Beckley, the band is keen to fill these few remaining seats.


Bilton Silver Rugby Band

November 22 • Bilton Silver (Rugby) requires a cornet player to join our Championship Section band (Position negotiable). Under MD Brad Turnbull we have a varied programme of events. Rehearsals are held on Monday and Friday at 7-45pm in our own purpose built bandroom.


Besses o'th' Barn Band

November 21 • Under the direction of David W Ashworth, we are making every effort to complete the rebuild of this very famous brass band. We require one kit and one tuned percussionists plus one Back Row Cornet to complete our line up for the North West Area Contest.
