4BR has been informed that Aberdeen’s Bon Accord Band will head to Austria next year as Scotland's representative at the European Championships in Linz.

The band, which was formed in 1961, came 4th in the Scottish Championships in Dundee this year, but due for various reasons, Champions Co-operative Funeralcare, runner up Kirkintilloch and third placed Whitburn, declined to take up the invitation to compete as Scottish representatives.
