Lions of Weston

Lions Brass are holding a workshop and masterclass in Weston in October led by ringmaster Philip Harper.

Lions 'Brass 4 Youth' are hosting a full day workshop at The Priory School in Weston-Super-Mare on Sunday 4th October led by one of the country’s top Brass Band conductors, Philip Harper.

Team

Philip and his team will be providing tuition and coaching on a specially selected programme of lively music, culminating in a late afternoon concert.

The workshop is open to any young person aged 18 and under, who has achieved a minimum of Grade 3 on their instrument, at a cost of £10 for the day (with concessions.)

Chairman, Brian Underwood commented to 4BR: "Lions Brass 4 Youth have been very fortunate in obtaining a grant through ‘Find your Talent’ which means that we can offer such an outstanding workshop at minimal cost."

He added: "The many young people already in the band are looking forward to being joined by others, for what will be a very special day under the guidance of such a wonderful musician."
