Rhyl return

The Rhyl Festival of Brass makes a welcome return next month — and there is a fine line up of rival bands to enjoy too.

The Rhyl Festival of Brass makes a welcome return to the Pavilion Theatre in Rhyl after an absence of several years, on Sunday 28th June.

Good response

Such has been the response to the news that the contest is now closed to competitors, but would gladly welcome many more spectators!

Rival bands

There are 12 bands taking part over four sections, each playing a 20 minute entertainment programme, and the Championship Section in particular should be a cracker with all four local North Wales rivals taking part — Beaumaris, Northop, Point of Ayr and Wrexham Brass as well as top North West outfit, Wire Brass.

Such has been the response to the news that the contest is now closed to competitors, but would gladly welcome many more spectators!4BR

Door open

The doors open at 10.30am, and there are refreshments available throughout the day at the Theatre and also two well stocked bars!
