The St Dennis Band has announced that Darren Hawken will be leading them at the forthcoming West of England Bandsmen's Festival held at Bugle on 20th June.
Familiar face
Darren is a familiar face to the band and is a well known freelance conductor who has worked with many bands in Wales and the South West of England.
He has been making trips down from Cardiff to rehearse the band over the last few weeks leading up to the contest.

In between Darren's visits the band has been lucky to have Derek Greenwood to take the baton.
Derek is also no stranger to the band, having worked with them a few years back in the Fourth Section. Derek has conducted many bands in Cornwall.
