Around the horn at Cowes

Two new horn players join the Cowes ranks.

Cowes Concert Band from the Isle of Wight has bolstered its ranks with two new tenor horn players.

Sarah Wilson who has played cornet joins on her first venture on tenor horn, and Gerry Walshe returns for his second spell with the band after several years on front row cornet.

Looking forward

Sarah told 4BR she was looking forward to her new challenge: "I’ve been made to feel very welcome and am pleased to be involved with a band that has made a lot of progress in recent years."

Grown in numbers

Gerry dded: "The band has grown in numbers since I left a few years ago and is moving forward. I am looking forward to the band’s busy summer season."
