There was a great turn out of players at the Friendly Solo & Quartet Contest — with a top prize going to Peggy Tomlinson!

Friendly

After many years of presenting many trophies, certificates and awards all around Yorkshire, Peggy Tomlinson has finally won an award at the Friendly Band Solo & Quartet Contest recently.

New Award

A new award introduced by the Friendly Band, for a non player, and called 'The Bandsmans Champion' was presented to Peggy, much to her surprise, by the secretary of Friendly Band, Paul Fielden, for all the hard work and dedication she puts into the banding movement.

This presentation was given the approval of all competitors and audience with the long sustained round of applause.
