4BR has spoken exclusively to Richard Evans following the announcement that he is to receive the All England International Masters Dedicated Service Award at Cambridge next week.

Achievements

It caps a fortnight in which he has also received wonderful recognition from the Leyland Band for all his achievements with them over the past 30 plus years.

Joy

Richard tells of his delight at being presented with the position of 'Conductor Emeritus' with his former band, as well as the joy at being awarded the Dedicated Service Award at the Masters — especially as it is to be presented by his great friend Maurice Murphy.
