Elland Youth Band is to represent Calderdale at the forthcoming National Music For Youth Festival at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on the 9th July.

Performing for the first time in the Regional Music For Youth Festival in March, the band are delighted to have received the invitation.

Musical Director, Miss Samantha Harrison told 4BR: "This is a fantastic opportunity for our young musicians to perform in such a nationally acclaimed event. We are all excited to have been invited to represent Calderdale. We now have to look at how we can raise the funds to get us there."
