Derwent Brass recently took to the stage for the 21st time in aid of 'The Friends of the Nightingale Macmillan Unit' in Derby.
Specialist unit
The Nightingale Macmillan Unit is a specialist palliative care unit of the cancer services directorate of the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, and the 'friends' raise funds to assist patients under the care of the Nightingale Macmillan unit who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm and in need of assistance.
Sell out
Derwent Brass first helped raise funds for the cause 12 years ago and following their recent sell out concert in the Derby Assembly Rooms with the Treorchy Male Choir they were able to donate £1,000 to 'The
Friends of Nightingale'
It brought the overall total raised over the 12 years to a massive £25,000.
