Following their runner up place at the recent Scottish Championships, the Dunfermline Band has told 4BR of their delight to be representing Scotland at Harrogate later this year.
Hard work
Dave Neil told 4BR: "The band had posted three 5th placings in the past three years at the Scottish and this year’s result is testimony to a lot of hard work by everyone involved. To add to this the winning of the best instrumentalist prize for soprano player Neil Wallace was just the icing on the cake."

New arrivals
The band has recently benefited from new arrivals to fill gaps in the trombone, euphonium and baritone and horn sections.
Prior to the contest the band held a rehearsal day under the watchful eye of Archie Hutchinson with sectionals taken by James Chamberlain (flugal/horns), Charlie Farren (trombones) and Jim Anderson (Euphs/Basses).
