Ilott retires

Four decades as conductor comes to an end.

After taking Capricornia Silver Band from the depths of D-grade to the heights of A-grade, over four decades, Dennis Ilott is stepping aside as conductor to enable fresh talent to come through.

An instrumental music teacher by trade, Dennis has been an energetic and motivating force for the Rockhampton-based band.

Out with a Blast

The State Championships at Maryborough will be his last as musical director and he has urged his band to go out with a blast.
