The list of bands who will challenge for National honours in the autimn is complete.

Following four weekends that have seen bands compete from as far apart as Scotland down to the West Country, the full list of challengers is now known.

Championship Section

The Championship Section in London on October 17th will see the defending champion, Black Dyke defend their title against bands such as the reigning European and Brass in Concert Champion, Cory and British Open Champion Fodens but there are a few notable absentees in Brighouse, Grimethorpe and no Whitburn.

1st Section cracker

In the Championship Section, The Royal Albert Hall will have some high profile absentees this year after Salute to Youth has really sorted the bands out4BR

The First Section final in Harrogate three weekends earlier, looks set to be a cracker with Barton Town, Point of Ayr, Newtongrange, Tongwynlais, Wardle Anderson Brass and Wakefield Metropolitan all vying for National glory.

Similar story

On paper, another cracker is anticipated in the Second Section with Camborne 'B', East London Brass, Oldham (Lees), Verwood Concert Brass and Wellington (Telford) all chasing glory. The Third Section is scheduled for Sunday 27th September with the Fourth Section the day before, Saturday 26th. Both sections have any number of bands who'll descend upon the North Yorkshire town confident of victory.

Test pieces

The test pieces will be announced later in the year by the Music Panel in conjunction with Kapitol Promotions.
