Trombonist Peter Moore to tour Downunder.

Brilliant young 13 year old virtuoso trombone player Peter Moore will tour Australia during July and August this year.

Last year Peter at just 12 years was awarded the prestigious “2008 BBC Young Musician of the Year.”

He is the youngest person in its 30 year history to do so.

Peter was also named “2008 4barsrest Player of the Year.”

This capped off an amazing Year for this extraordinary young man.

At just 10 years of age Peter was appointed Principal Trombone with Wingates Band, since then he has made his mark as a soloist with Orchestras and Bands.

Peter’s mother and father, both competent musicians, will accompany him to Australia.

Chinnor Silver

November 25 • You need to be quick, we are almost full but just require Eb bass and percussion. We are a friendly, welcoming and ambitious band and start 2025 at the top of our second section ranking table. We rehearse on a Wed evening in our own bandroom in Chinnor.


Hathersage Band

November 25 • Hathersage Brass Band is a thriving community band. We enjoy making music and have a good gig schedule. An opportunity has arisen for the right person to join our Principal Cornet Ed as co-principal. Are you up for the challenge? This is our only vacancy.


Wakefield Metropolitan Brass Band

November 23 • Bb Cornet, Euphonium, Eb Bass and Percussion required to complete the line-up.. Under the Direction of Duncan Beckley, the band is keen to fill these few remaining seats.
