Meeting the composer
The quartet will meet the composer of the test piece, Dan Price, and will gain valuable insight and tips about his work. They will also pick up all the advice they will need to pass judgement on what they hear from the two official adjudicators Mal Brownbill and Chris Wormald.
Pass judgement
After a quick buffet lunch they will head into the hall to sit on the first tier and pass judgement – in the open.
Staying for the championship
Iwan Fox and Kenny Crookston, editors of 4BR and British Bandsman, will also be on hand to see if they can pick up some useful tips themselves before they pass their own judgements in print, and the families have been invited to stay and listen to the Championship Contest on the Sunday evening courtesy of free tickets provided by the Yorkshire Regional Committee.
After it is all over 4BR will publish their remarks and results to see if they agreed with Mal and Chris in the box!
