Doctor's papers for Fairey!

It very nearly went belly up for Fairey before the North West Area as their own Doctor very nearly missed the trip...

Just 24 hours before Fairey took to the stage at Blackpool's Winter Gardens it looked like they wouldn't have a bass trombone player.

Doctor problems

John Paul Warder, who is doctor, arrived at home after attending their Saturday night rehearsal without any problems, but as he attempted to get out of his car he got caught in the seat belt, spraining right wrist.

Youthful help

Fortunatley one of the younger members of the band, Paul Coupe, had been travelling with the Doc and immediatley administered first aid, saving the good Doctor an embarrasing explaination to the MD to why he couldn't play!
