The Whitburn Band will perform to an audience of millions this weekend — all in support of their rugby team against Wales.
Six Nations
The Scottish champion has recently been asked to play at all of Scotland's RBS 6 Nations rugby games at Murrayfield this season, and on Sunday, they will perform the Welsh anthem, 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau' -'Land of My Fathers' — before Scotland try desperately to beat defending champions Wales.
The band will then play the national anthems for Italy and Ireland when the two teams visit Edinburgh in February and March.
Will Whitburn inspire the Welsh players then? Kick off is at 3.00pm on Sunday. Tune in to find out!4BR
No stranger
A spokesperson from Whitburn Band told 4BR: "We are delighted that the Scottish Rugby Union has asked us to play at the home 6 Nations games. Whitburn is no stranger to performing at prestigious sporting events. For over 30 years, we played the away team's national anthems at Hampden for Scottish international football games."
