The 2008 SIDDIS Champion, Manger Musikklag are launching their newest CD, called 'Dynamis' at the Norwegian Nationals in Bergen today.

The CD contains music composed by Norwegian composer Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen, and was recorded in April 2008 with Bjørn Sagstad as conductor and the composer himself as producer. Both are former members of the band.

The CD consists of three works, 'Cantigas', 'Dynamis' and 'Chant'.

Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen is really looking forward to the release, telling 4BR: "It has become a very special record made by very special musicians! The music on this record requires special qualities from the musicians – qualities acquired through many years of performing contemporary music."

Aagaard-Nilsen also had special praise for conductor Bjørn Sagstad, who he believes is a fantastic interpreter who also has deep knowledge of the brass band medium.
