Local Award for 4BR Editor

4BR Editor's expertise bears fruit — on the poker table...

Kings

If you thought 4BR knew how to pick a winner in the brass band contesting world, then it seems it’s all down to the Editor’s ability at Texas hold ‘em Poker…

Good use

If you ever wondered what the 4BR Editor did in his spare time, then you rest assured that he has been putting it to good use.

For the second time in a week, Iwan Fox has revealed a previously unknown talent for playing poker, winning his second local tournament in a row.

we know a few keen banding people who enjoy a game, so 4BR may sponsor the first brass band poker tournament in the world4BR

Glory

This time he scooped the pot against 50 other players – a full house of a pair of Kings and three two’s raking in the glory, although he won’t be giving up the day job just yet.

Sponsor

"Given how badly I play the rest of the year it came as a bit of a surprise. Still, a wins, a win. I don’t think its an excuse to try for the World Series of Poker just yet though, although we know a few keen banding people who enjoy a game, so 4BR may sponsor the first brass band poker tournament in the world!"
