While the majority of the world's population try their best to soothe their hangovers at 10.00am on New Years Day, some 8,000 mad people flock to Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire to participate in the traditional New Years Day Swim.

Celebrate

The charity event attracts members of the Welsh Rugby team every year, and this year will celebrate its silver anniversary with the help of the Temperance Silver Band as it raises money for a number of worthy causes.

In for a dip

The band will give a short concert before the big event where many of the brave band members will join about 1,000 others by marching into the sea. Understandably the band are seeking some brave volunteers fro the day out..
