A revived and delighted Bathgate Band recently took second place at the Scottish Challenge Shield last weekend playing the test piece 'Rienzi'.
Unfamiliar roles
This was the band's first outing since the Scottish Championships in March with many players in unfamiliar roles and for some in the band tasting their first ever major brass band competition.
