Audley Brass band has announced that Colin Hartley has accepted
the position of Musical Director with immediate effect.

A former player with the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines and Principal Tuba in the Royal Yacht Band, he studied conducting under Walter Hargreaves.

Audley Band has recently merged its main and training bands so Colin now has the challenge of making them a force to be reckoned with in the MidlandsAudley Brass

Glass of red

After the Royal Marines, Colin joined the Scottish Police Service and
played for Scottish Co-op and Kingdom Brass.

Colin is now based in Derby and works as an accident investigator and
admits to enjoying the occasional round of golf as well as dining out and sampling the odd glass of red!

Merger

Bob Crawshaw, Publicity Officer of the band told 4BR: "Audley Band has recently merged its main and training bands so Colin now has the challenge of making them a force to be reckoned with in the Midlands."
