Members of the Clifton and Lightcliffe band competed in the Skelmanthorpe Band Slow Melody and ensemble competition recently, and just about swept the board in all the sections.
Winners
The 14 years and under section was won by Nick Walker, who plays repiano cornet with the band, whilst the Section for 16 years and under, and Open Section was won by Principal Cornet Mark Crisp.
Meanwhile, the Junior Ensemble of Alex Crisp (Horn) Nick Walker and Mark Crisp (Cornets) won their section and the Senior Ensembles took first and third prizes respectively.
