Fowles heads for Co-op

Michael Fowles will be leading Scottish Co-op at the Scottish Open in Perth later this month.

The Scottish Co-op Band has announced that Michael Fowles has agreed to conduct the band at the forthcoming Scottish Open Championships in Perth later this month.

First time

This will be the first time that band and conductor have worked together and band members are looking forward already with keen anticipation to the results of the partnership.

He is currently Musical Director of Stockport Brass (formerly BT Band) and of the Ratby Co-operative Band.

Speaking yesterday about the test piece "St.Magnus" and about the band, Michael told 4BR: "It's a great piece of music, it's a great band, and I am really looking forward very much to the rehearsals and the performance in the championships."
