Gresley Colliery Band has announced the addition of two new players to their line up.
Addition
Samantha Atherton has moved up to Derby from Hampshire and has made a welcome addition to the front row cornets. Before joining Gresley, Sam had a wealth of experience playing with several bands including SWT Woodfalls Band, Denmead Brass and Chapeltown Band.
Gresley have also announced named their new solo euphonium player, is Dan Cheadle.

Experience
Dan started playing at the age of 9 and by the time he reached 12 was playing solo euphonium at Newhall Band. Taught by David Moore and Mark Bousie, he was runner up at the Euphonium Junior Competition at The Royal Northern College of Music in 1999. Since then, Dan’s playing career has included playing with Newstead Welfare, Derwent, Ibstock and Ratby Bands.
