Spinnaker Brass recently held a 'Last Night of the Proms' style concert in the Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham.
Playing to a near capacity audience they performed a selection of banding classics and modern music to an appreciative audience.
Solos
The band also featured two soloists in the first half – soprano George Arnold played 'Queen of the Nights Aria' and trombonist Virgilio Guerrini delivered Monti’s 'Czardas'.

Rule Britannia
Joining the band were members of the Gosport Amateur Operatic Society who sang a selection from 'Oliver' and also led the singing in the 2nd half of the concert including Robin Philips, the MD of GAOS, suitably attired in a Union Jack waistcoat for 'Rule Britannia'.

New playes
The band also welcomed new players to the ranks. Steve Croney on principal cornet, cornets, Dave Morris and Mel Winser, Ann Porter on trombone and basses Nick Valleley and Peter Williams all made their concert debuts with the band.
