The current British Open champion, Foden will be performing Janacek’s masterpiece 'Sinfonietta', with Bath Philharmonia orchestra in December.
Inspired
Inspired by hearing military brass bands in his native Czech homeland, Janacek composed the 'Sinfonietta' in 1926 for orchestra and massed brass.
Beethoven
The concert will begin with Bath Phil performing Beethoven’s witty 'Eighth Symphony', followed by Foden’s classic brass band repertoire including a specially commissioned jazz-based tuba concerto and Wilby’s virtuosic 'Paganini Variations'. The concert concludes with the 'Sinfonietta'.
