Dean Morley, UK ex-pat, ex-Grimethorpe great and Bb Bass for Brisbane Excelsior, was taken to hospital by ambulance in the early hours of yesterday morning.

When 4BRDU visited Dean today, he was in much better spirits and making a steady recovery from septicaemia.

Sadly, this meant Dean was unable to perform with XLCR for the entertainment championship yesterday.

In true banding spirit, members of rival band Woolston Brass visited the Tweed Heads hospital today but denied all rumours that they attempted to play Danny Boy outside Deans hospital bed window.

Although Dean will be in hospital for another few days, he is expected to make a full recovery.
