Recitalists at Durham University

Percussionist Dave Danford to lead Durham University recital series.

Two of the brass band world’s leading soloists will feature in recital concerts at Durham University later this year.

Lunchtime recital

The lunchtime concerts series is held at the music department’s Concert Room and is open to the public, and on Thursday 13th November will feature percussionist David Danford, who will present a mix of accessible music for percussion together with some new commissions. David’s recital in Durham is part of a nationwide tour.

Meanwhile on Thursday 11th December trombonist Richard Brown will present a fusion of early and modern music for trombone.

The lunchtime concerts series is held at the music department’s Concert Room and is open to the public4BR

Trombone

Richard is well known from his regular concert and contest appearances with Grimethorpe Colliery band and also from his professional orchestral appearances, most recently with the Hallé Orchestra and the BBC Northern Philharmonic.
