The Wilsden Band under conductor Ken Lee recently provided a concert to what could be their largest ever audience to date.

Sharing honours

Sharing the honours with the Aire Valley Singers, the band performed in the magnificent setting of Bradford Cathedral, raising about £2000 on behalf of the Rotary Club of West Bradford charities, British Heart Foundation and the Coronary Care Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Raise me up

The band's principal cornet, Shelley Hodgson, made a stalwart effort after her recent illness, to join the band, and performed a well received rendition of 'You Raise Me Up'.

The band itself rose to the occasion, taking advantage of the marvellous cathedral accoustics, to give a highly creditable performance.
