Alex does it again!

Young sop star does it again. Have we found the new Peter Roberts?

Alexander Rees

Yes, City of Cardiff (Melingriffith)'s rising star soprano player, 11 year old Alexander Rees pulled off another flawless performance at the West Wales Brass Band Association's Annual Contest at Ammanford last Saturday.

Plaudits

His contribution saw him win plaudits and prizes from the adjudicator and the thrilled audience, and helped the band to gain first place in the Third Section.

Awards

Alex was awarded the Ken Davies Memorial Challenge Cup for the Best Soloist in the Section, conductor Gareth Ritter received the S&B Jones Memorial Challenge Cup as the winning conductor, and the band was awarded the Alltwen & Pontardulais CWS Trophy.

A lot of silverware to clean for someone then!
