European Composers Competition 2009

EBBA invites applications from budding composers for their 2009 competition.

EEBA has invited budding composers from all over Europe to apply for a place in the 4th European Composers Competition, to be held in Oostende, Belgium, next year as part of the 32nd European Brass Band Championships.

Prototype

The Final of the Competition will take place on the 30th April, whilst the prototype Philip Wilbys will have to go through two preliminary rounds to get there.

There will be prizes of EURO 2500, 2000, 1500 and 500 and 500, as well as special awards for the finalists and diplomas for all competitorsEBBA

Final

The final will take place in Oostende's magnificent Kurzaal, where a leading band from Belgium will perform the new compositions.

Criteria

Applicants must have been born on or after January 1st, 1974.
