A delighted but exhausted Philip Morris wore the smile of a man well pleased at the end of the Harrogate weekend, after he told 4BR that he felt that the 2008 event had proved that there was a undoubted appetite returning for the Lower Section Finals.
Delight
Speaking to 4BR he expressed his delight at what he felt was an increase in audience numbers, the benefits of long term planning from Kapitol Promotions and support from the principal sponsors York Musical Instruments.

Expert clinics
He was also pleased that the new innovations of ‘Expert Clinics’ and pre result recitals from Owen Farr, David Childs, Angelo Bearpark and the British Army Brass Band had proved to be popular and welcomed.
Tribute
Philip also paid tribute to the hard work of the backroom staff, the bands and even the press for the way in which they helped to make the event run smoothly, and suggested that the finals themselves had now found what he hoped was an ideal long term home in the North Yorkshire town.
