65 delegates (from aged ten upwards) had enrolled for the event which was supported by Besson Musical Instruments.

Tutors

Course tutors were Roger Webster (cornets), Lesley Howie (flugels and tenor horns), Michael Dodd (euphoniums and baritones), Chris Jeans (trombones and full band) and David Nesbitt (basses).

Repertoire

The music studied was 'The President' march by William German, 'Jubilee Overture' by Philip Sparke, 'Carnival of Venice' arranged by Alan Catherall (soloist Michael Dodd), 'Alloway Tales' by Peter Graham, 'Pirates of the Caribbean' by Klaus Badelt and 'Concerto for Horn in Eb' by Vincenzo Bellini (soloist, Lesley Howie).

The day proved to be very successful and a significant proportion of the delegates were under the age of 154BR

Success

The day proved to be very successful and a significant proportion of the delegates were under the age of 15. Roger was particularly patient and helpful with the very young third cornet players who had a wonderful day.

The East Anglian Brass Band Association expressed their thanks to Besson Musical Instruments and to the tutirs in particular.
