Oliver Browne, a fourth year student at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama has won a trial as Principal Tuba with the acclaimed Royal Scottish National Orchestra, following auditions in early September.

Oliver Browne is a member of the Cory Band (the resident band for the Royal Welsh College) and is on College professional placement schemes with BBC NOW and the WNO Orchestra.

Oliver continues a tradition of successful tuba students from the Royal Welsh College. Wilf Driscoll (BMus 2006) is currently on trial as Principal Tuba with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
