Seindorf Beaumaris set for celebration

Seindorf Beaumaris Band celebrates 25 years since the band was brought back to life this month.

Beaumaris

Many people associated with Seindorf Beaumaris will remember that 25 years ago the band had dwindled to but a handful of players. A decision was taken to start afresh recruiting youngsters from local village primary schools and since those days the band has thrived and grown into a very successful organisation.

Everyone to join in

The band don't wish to let the occasion go without celebrating the growth and success of the band, and they want all ex-players, friends, families and the 150 current members, together with all the residents of Beaumaris and surrounding villages to join in with them in celebrating the quarter century revival.

That celebration will start with the Senior Band hosting an open rehearsal in the Music Centre on Saturday 20th September4BR

Celebration

That celebration will start with the Senior Band hosting an open rehearsal in the Music Centre on Saturday 20th September, where people can hear them preparing for the Lower Section National Finals. The rehearsal will start at 10.00am and finish at 1.00pm, and people can to listen and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee & biscuits.

Parade

This will be followed by a parade along the main high street at 2.00pm formed by all members of the Band.

The Bands will then perform a concert at Castle Square and the day will end with a celebration party for all members and ex-members.

Any past members who are interested in joining in please contact Maggie Williams. email: m.williams@bangor.ac.uk.
