Avonbank head for States

The Avonbank (Evesham) Brass Band is set to celebrate their 60th anniversary with a trip to the United States.

The Avonbank (Evesham) Brass Band which was formed in 1948, is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.

To mark this milestone the band is undertaking a trip to the USA, to visit our twin town of Evesham, New Jersey in October.

The band has been busy all summer fundraising for the trip, fitting in extra concerts plus fund raising events such as auctions, race nights, car boots and a Bavarian evening.

It’s planned that the band will play a number of concerts while in the States and is very excited at the prospect of making new friends across the Atlantic.

Also planned as part of the celebrations of the bands 60th anniversary is a reunion of past players on the 18th Octoberorganisers

March 18 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a 2nd euphonium and 2nd baritone player to help complete the team.. We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
