Fairey announce Bridgewater programme

Fairey announce Great Northern Festival programme to feature euphonium soloist Matthew White.

The Fairey Band, conducted by Philip Chalk will perform the afternoon concert next Saturday at the Great Northern Brass Arts Festival at The Brigewater Hall, Manchester.

The Guest Soloist will be Matthew White, Principal Euphonium with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and euphonium with Leyland Band.

Matthew won the Harry Mortimer Solo Award, adjudicated by Bramwell Tovey earlier this year with the NYBBGB and as a result of winning this prestigious competition also wins the Eric Iles Award from The Worshipful Company of Musicians of the City of London.

February 17 • Boarshurst Silver Band, NW Championship Section, requires a BBb player, flugel, and front row cornet player. Under MD Jamie Prophet, the band have an ambitious and varied calendar for 2025, including NW Area, Spring Festival and Whit Friday.
