Welsh champs go jazz

Tredegar set for appearance at Brecon Jazz Festival.

Members of the current Welsh Champions, Tredegar, are set to make their second appearance at the world famous Brecon Jazz Festival this weekend.

Following the success of their 10 piece set as part of the 'Brecon Fringe' last year, the ensemble from the band has been invited back for an appearance at one of the leading fringe venues at the Clarence Inn on Sunday afternoon.

Band Chairman Mark Winstone told 4BR: "It's great to be invited back and to take the opportunity to show what a small brass ensemble can do. The feedback we got last year was superb and we certainly picked up a few new fans, even if the traditional jazz lifestyle was a bit too hectic for some of us!"
