Stolen instruments

Thieves break into car and steal trumpets and a cornet.

Three instruments were stolen from a car in Parkville, Victoria on Thursday 31st July when it was broken into by thieves.

The instruments stolen from the car, belonging to a player from Diamond Valley brass band, are detailed as follows:

• Bach Stradivarius 229 model C Trumpet (Gold). Serial Number: 493162cs

• Bach Stradivarius 37 model Bb Trumpet (Silver). Serial Number: unknown

• Besson Sovereign Cornet (Silver). Serial Number: 928-727080. The cornet had "86 B-grade National Championships" engraved on the bell, a Denis Wick 2B mouthpiece and a metal straight, wood straight and wood cup mute in the case.
