Hirst takes Open berth at PolySteel

David Hirst will lead PolySteel Band at the British Open in September following the departure of Philip Harper.

Following the recent departure of MD Philip Harper, PolySteel Band has announced that the experienced David Hirst will be leading the band at this years British Open Championship in Birmingham.

No stranger

David is no stranger to PolySteel, having prepared the band for their appearances at last year's Grand Shield and English National Championships, which resulted in victory at the Grand Shield and a third place in Preston for PolySteel.

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "The band would like to publicly thank David for agreeing to take charge at such short notice."
