Wych sub at Fodens?

Star soprano player is to be substituted for prestigious event...

Fodens Richardson soprano star Alan Wycherley will be substituted for one of the most important events of his banding career later this month — although it is with his full blessing!

Dropped

Alan will be getting married to Sachi Uchida on the 26th July at Atherton Parish Church, where Sachi is the Church Organist, and with the members of Fodens providing the splendid music for the ocassion it has meant that he has relunctantly been dropped!

It's great to have Nigel to play with the band at the wedding as the bride comes down the aisle to 'Procession to the Minster' and other great pieces that mean a great deal to both Sachi and myselfAlan Wycherley

Delighted

Alan is delighted though that Nigel Fielding has stepped into the soprano chair for the day.

Alan told 4BR: "It's great to have Nigel to play with the band at the wedding as the bride comes down the aisle to 'Procession to the Minster' and other great pieces that mean a great deal to both Sachi and myself."

Special occassion

Alan added: "It's going to be a very special occassion as several Japanese friends are coming over just for the wedding and playing with Fodens too. I'm looking forward to the day with great anticipation and really wish I was pumping out the end of "Minster" — but I need to be enjoying 'other duties' and I know the part is in very good hands indeed."
