The Fairlop Band are getting ready for a special celebration this weekend.

Fairlop

Fairlop Brass are eagerly looking forward to welcoming many former players back, both in the audience and on stage, at their 40th Anniversary Concert this weekend.

Far and wide

Former players are travelling from as far as Lancashire to join in the
celebrations, with five former players planning to join the band on stage for the final three items, which will include a specially composed march by the bands President.

Junior start

Fairlop started as a Junior School Brass Band and over the last 40 years have enjoyed many successes including Third Section National Champions and several other appearances at National Finals, and tours to Germany and France.

The band prides itself on it's low turnover of players, with the current membership totalling just over 600 years of being part of Fairlop4BR

Pride

The band prides itself on it's low turnover of players, with the
current membership totalling just over 600 years of being part of Fairlop.

The band has had only two Musical Directors, the Bands founder and current President Dennis Carney and for the last 25 years Kevin Jordan, who has been a member of the Band for all but the first three months.
