New MD at Kippax

David Horn is the new man in the middle at the Kippax Band.

The Kippax Band has announced David Horn as their new musical director with immediate effect.

David has been rehearsing the band for the past month and the band state that they are delighted that he has accepted the offer to become their new MD.

The band are looking forward to a long and mutually successful relationship with David, aiming towards the Pontins Contest later in 2008 and ultimately success in the Area competition in March 2009Kippax Band

Prestigious career

David had a long and prestigous playing career including spells with the famous Faireys and Grimethorpe Bands. As well as winning many solo awards David also was a member of James Shepherd Versatile Brass.

As well as his many playing achievements David has over the past 35 years worked as a conductor and band trainer with all levels of bands, achieving many successes with his infectious enthusiasm and dedication to hard work.

Looking forward

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "The band are looking forward to a long and mutually successful relationship with David, aiming towards the Pontins Contest later in 2008 and ultimately success in the Area competition in March 2009."
